Mimram Quilters will be holding their 12th exhibition in Welwyn Civic Centre, Prospect Place, Old Welwyn in Hertfordshire. 10-5 (Sat) and 10-4 (Sun). £3.50 entrance, children free. Lots of quilts, traders, sales, and raffles. Why not enter the open competition for an A4 Journal quilt with the title Celebration? Contact me for a form.

My poem quilts are now going to be exhibited in Sandown in June. Watch this space for that event.

The Quilters Guild
This was set up in the late 1980s and I was a founder member. It is a magnificent organisation and now has a great museum in York, where three exhibitions are hung every year, along with contemporary groups’ quilts in smaller rooms. The museum is at St Anthony’s Hall in Peasholme Green (YO1 7PW).
Mimram Quilters
This group meets first Monday of each month (except August) in the Civic Centre in Welwyn, Herts (Prospect Place,Welwyn, Herts, AL6 9ER). Contact them for the current diary of events.

This website has a different range of fabrics and notions as well. Joanna also runs pop-up shops in Rushden (North Herts) village hall every quarter.
The Home Workshop
A huge selection of books. They visit the exhibitions regularly and will get you a book that not might be easy to find. It’s a really friendly family that runs this shop.
Studio 39
Monica runs workshops from here in her airy studio beside the shop. If you have forgotten anything on the day, she will have it.
